Like a Hollywood script

If I was writing a teen movie about dealing with bullies, I don't know that I would have had the imagination to come up with the following scenario which is 100% true (with the exception of the names to protect the guilty):

Up until the middle of 6th grade I went to Catholic school so I was very accustomed to wearing a skirt to school. Since I was also quite a tomboy, I never ever wore the skirt without shorts underneath. There is no self-respecting kickball playing, cartwheeling spinning, monkeybar hanging girl that would restrict her recess time with a skirt.

When I moved to a public school, my very plaid wardrobe drastically changed but the shorts under a skirt policy didn't. As is unfortunately typical in middle school hazing of the new girl, there was a bully named "Julie" in my science class.

One day, Julie noticed that I was wearing a wraparound skirt which was held closed with a bow. She immediately saw the opportunity to humiliate me by grabbing the bow to untie the skirt. She was quick but so was I.

She tugged.

I tugged.

She tugged.

I tugged.

She tugged.

I let go.

She crashed to the ground with my skirt in her hands and I stood there IN MY SHORTS and asked her if she had a problem.

Needless to say the hazing quickly ended.
