Car Shopping?

We're thinking about the possibility of maybe, someday, in the future replacing our car.

Crazy. I know.  Why replace a perfectly good 18 year old car with the original clutch and only 200,000 miles on it?

So we went to the dealer to look at used cars that are merely baby automobiles compared to our current car.  It was busy.  But we weren't buying anything anyway, just looking.  The "manager" didn't have a sales person to help us do a test drive but there was a trainee who could drive with us but not complete a sale.

Perfect.

It was his first day!

Perfect.

We were the first "customers" he was allowed to work with.

Perfect.

He knew nothing!

Perfect.

I showed him how to turn on the windshield wipers.

Perfect.

He only looked a little terrified when I got behind the wheel and said:  "Don't worry.  I've hardly ever killed anyone with my driving before."

Perfect.

When we I pulled into a parking lot to change drivers we both shouted "Chinese Fire Drill!"  We made him run around the car to the other side of the back seat.

Poor kid.

It might have also been his last day.
