Time: 2 o'clock
Me (to doctor's office): I have an appointment on Wednesday at 2:15. Is there any way I can reschedule this ANY time in the next two weeks? I really need to have the appointment, but I have a very important meeting at 2:15. If I could push it back 30 minutes, that would be great!
Doctor's office: No. We can reschedule for May.
Me: No, I will just try to reschedule my other meeting for the 7 folks involved.
Time: 2:05, 2:07, 2:08,
Me (to secretary): Can we reschedule to 2:45?
Me (to colleague): Can we reschedule to 2:45?
Me (to director): Can we reschedule to 2:45?
Time: 2:12, 2:15, 2:18
Secretary (to asst superintendent, technology director, technology facilitator, pd director): Can we reschedule to 2:45?
Colleage (to me): Sure
Director (to me): That will be okay if it works for the others.
Time: 2:30
Secretary (to me): 2:45 works for everybody here
Time: 2:31
Me (to me): Fantastic. Better be a fast doctor's appointment.
Time: 3 o'clock
Doctor's office different nurse (to me): Phi, any chance I can reschedule your appointment on Wednesday to 2:40?
Me (to anyone in a 2 mile radius): NOT A CHANCE! I called you an hour ago and begged you to change that appointment to 2:45 or any other time except 2:15, but I was told no so I just rearranged everyone else's schedule. So.... no. I also will not take an appointment in May, but you are welcome to choose any other time in the next two weeks just like I told your colleague one hour ago!
Nurse (to me): Let me call you back.
Me (to nurse): Please do.
Time: 3:05
Nurse (to me): How is Friday at 10:40?
Me (to nurse): Delighful.
ugh
