It's a long drive for a haircut!

It's approximately 542 miles between the Wanda Louise Home and the Phi home. Our real homes that is.  At BA 31 we stay in homes approximately 200 feet apart.

The 542 mile trip is one neither of us have done that often, but on a rare occasion it happens.    The 200 foot trip we make hundreds of times every summer.

One year after my son Cicero had a long streak of "interesting" haircuts we were on our way to Phi's house for a 100th birthday party lamenting the potential for awkward family photos.

[for the record it was not Phi's 100th birthday!]

At one point I asked the husband if he had noticed a white cane and a seeing eye dog next to the barber.

A week earlier my dad had bragged about the coupon he had to a hair cut place that included a neck massage.  We considered taking Cicero there, but the whole neck massage idea freaked him out a little.

Fortunately Phi is oozing with untapped talent.

Upon seeing the unfortunate haircut by the blind barber, Phi offered to take care of the situation in her laundry room.

It's a long drive for a haircut but well worth is.

Complementary neck massage is less freaky when Aunt Phi does it.
