So, you know how cool Cicero is about everything right?
Sort of like his dad.
The word "flat liner" may have passed my lips once or twice.
Well, Cicero has been working with a team of 10th graders this semester on a "Shark Tank" business plan run by a student focused STEM non-profit in our state.
In the local competition they placed well, but came in fourth over all in our region behind a bunch of teams made up of seniors.
GREAT job for 16 year olds, but not quite as well as they had hoped to do.
They made it to the regional competition and after spiffing things up a bit they placed well and won a cash prize.
And a few days later they got a call inviting them to the state competition.
So they traveled 2 hours for a 20 minute presentation.
And had lunch.
And ate ice cream (possibly poisoned with listeria, but we can't confirm that.)
Came home and waited a week.
Yesterday afternoon I heard Cicero upstairs shouting into his phone NO WAY, NO WAY!!!
They came in 2nd place in their category at the state competition.
I asked what he's going to do with his significant winnings.
He's apparently going to open an IRA
And the team decided to have a celebration dinner together at Red Robin rather than Steak and Shake.
Big Spenders!
