Remember last week when I posted about Kale's French Express plan?
Here's the part I didn't tell you because I really just wanted it to be a post about praising Madam French Teacher, rather than ranting about school administrators and policies created without the added hindrance of a thought process.
Part of the French Express plan includes taking the final with the French 3 class and then doing a presentation in front of the "Independent Study Committee" (guidance counselor, assistant principal, principal) as well as the teacher of record (in this case Madam French Teacher) to determine the course grade to go on the transcript.
Easy enough.
But the carefully crafted and seldom "utilized" procedures for this type of thing clearly state that a presentation in an upper level foreign language class must be given in that language.
So Kale will have to prepare and give a presentation in French, in front of four people only one of whom will understand him?
I'm not sure how this makes any sense in any language.
It seems like an unusual way to "utilize" the time of school administrators.
Good luck Chou Frisé.
[that's French for Kale of course]
So 'red cabbage' would be chou rouge?
ReplyDeleteI think that's rode kool to you and me my Dutchy Friend!
