In the spirit of Jen Hatmaker -- you know my bff who I've never actually met -- it's time for a post praising teachers.
Particularly one teacher.
One of our kids has developed an unexplainable love for modern foreign languages. It's obviously not genetic. I struggle with English most days. Ancient dead languages are my thing.
His fabulous French teacher is working on making it possible for him to test out of two years of French this May. Yes, folks that means he's studying both French 2 and French 3 at the same time so he can take AP French next year. Ooh La La!
Kudos -- or "lauriers" as they say in French -- to Madam French Teacher. Kale came up with the idea and she helped him run with it.
He's invested in it ... and she's invested in him.
And to add to our praise for her, Madam French Teacher took care of all the sticky discussions with the "guidance" counselor! I just had to sign on the dotted line.
Madam French Teacher... Merci Beaucoup!
