The saddest part of this particular snow day is not the fact that it's only November, but the fact that my car pool schedule had me driving to the high school for the first two weeks of November and not again until December 1.
I now realize I should have volunteered for the last two weeks in November because between Thanksgiving break and today's SNOW DAY I would barely have to leave my house at all for the dreaded car pool lane.
Argh!
The other sad strange part of today's snow day is that the Husband is supposed to be off on a business trip for the next few days.
He got up at 4 a.m. this morning
Left the house at 5:00 in the snow.
Made the normal 45 minute trip to the airport in a mere hour and a half.
But, no fear, he didn't miss his flight because it was delayed by an hour and a haf.
As I write this he's been sitting on the runway for a little more than an hour.
So at this rate the shortest part of his day may be the actual 60 minute flight.
If it ever takes off.
It's not even a holiday. There's just a little bit of snow outside.
I'm sure he'd trade his 6 hour morning "flight" for a few minutes in the car pool lane at this point.
