I know I've talked about college tours recently. There are a few things the parents in the Wanda Louise house have learned while doing college tours, completely unrelated to the college choice process.
There are certain things that you "just know." And you assume your kids "just know."
But they don't.
On the famous Shruthi college tour, our terrific tour guide mentioned that about twenty percent of the student body is "greek." The adults of our family said "Oh. Interesting."
One of the potential students in our family (and maybe all of them) didn't understand the "greek population" the same way we did.
Later while having dinner with friends he started talking about how you could probably find some really good gyros at Shruthi's college with so many Greek students there.
WHAT?
Oh, Greek students, not greek students....
Sometimes your kids know more than you want them to, and sometimes you don't realize that they don't know what you do.
