This is really a continuation of the chicken conversation we had last week...
Trying to schedule three couples for one dinner out at a fabulous Lebanese restaurant nearby.
Edith: The husband and I will be out of town this weekend in Amish country. We figured since we have chickens we may as well adopt their entire lifestyle.
Wanda Louise: I hope it’s warmer in Amish country than it is here. I hear that backyard chickens are the gateway drug to buggy driving and getting off the grid. If you grow your hair into a long stringy braid though I will come to church with scissors and cut it right off. I have hair issues!
Edith: The only appeal of one long stringy braid would be convenience--I am very lazy about my hair. If I can't do it in about 5 minutes, it's too complicated of a style--never to be repeated again.
Wanda Louise: How about the Saturday the 14th or Friday the 20th?
Edith: At this point, Friday, March 30th would work best for us.
Wanda Louise: March 30 is a Monday on my calendar. I know you Amish may use a different calendar so I’m just a bit confused.
Edith: Yes, I meant Friday the 20th.....I've been doing that a lot lately and I'm going to blame menopause--although I use that excuse a lot....
