First World Triumphs

So, today I had the rare "pleasure" of driving to the airport twice.

Work related...

We sent a team to Beirut Lebanon to work with Syrian refugees.

If you feel like you haven't heard about the Syrian refugee crisis in mainstream media you might be right.  Syrian refugees as of today make up approximately one quarter of the population of Lebanon.  That's 25%.  One in every four people in Lebanon is a refugee from Syria due to the horrific humanitarian crisis in that country.  Here's a link to an overview of what's going on.  (Our ministry is not affiliated with the UNHCR, but their information is very good.)

Shocking.  And so so sad. If you're looking for a tangible way to help, get in touch with me in real life and I'll link you up with some good people.

So you'd think that the "triumphant' part of my day would have been the satisfaction of being a small part of a team that is doing great things.   And I'm happy to be a part of it.

But on my way home from the airport the second time I stopped in a store and found....

wait for it.....

Men's jeans.....

Size 28 x 32 and 28 x 34.

Yes friends, I'm raising mutant teenagers.

Apparently most manufacturers think that people with a size 28 waist top out at 30 inch inseams.  These same manufacturers have not visited my home, and are the same people who make most women's pants.  (Obviously).

So, while I'm thrilled to work with people who can sacrificially make a difference in the lives of people with great physical and spiritual needs.

I'm sort of equally thrilled to find pants that fit my sons.
